Step out of your history and into your destiny! Take back your power to become the best version of yourself! This is what I hope for all of my clients and human beings across the world.
Hello, my name is Patricia Rameau, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker based out of New York City with 16 years of experience working with at-risk children, families, and adults. I am a committed advocate with a passion for identifying and understanding another person’s point of view. A key part of my practice is stepping into someone else’s shoes and recognizing that their experiences, perceptions, and worldviews are unique to them. Born and raised in Bronx, New York City to immigrant parents from Haiti and Martinique, I am well versed in and respect the need for cultural competence. My work focuses on assisting people who have been abused and neglected improve their quality of life. For me, social work is not just a job, it is an opportunity to change the way someone sees the world. In working with clients, I prioritize building relationships and advocating for vulnerable communities with hopes of creating social change. I am by your side every step of the way on this journey.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy outdoor activities with my young son and volunteering to provide advancement to individuals in my community.
